Helping you achieve your Net Zero ambitions
The DSO’s Local Net Zero team is here to facilitate local authorities’ low carbon plans through support, planning, guidance and data sharing.
The majority of local authorities within the UK Power Networks licence area are aiming to be net zero and carbon neutral before 2050.
We have established and are growing a dedicated Local Net Zero team to help local authorities, consultants and local stakeholders to support their local net zero plans using our three-tiered support approach and many tools on offer.

Share your plans
As a local authority, sharing information on your decarbonisation plans allows us to factor them into our future network investment.
This enables us to better support your long term net zero strategy.
Whether you are in early stages of decarbonisation planning or have a full Local Area Energy Plan, you can share your information with us to help us shape our forecasts.
These forecasts, the Distribution Future Energy Scenarios (DFES) are published annually and provide a view of the energy system’s potential pathways to 2050.
