Our DSO Data Roadmap

Our DSO Data Roadmap is your guide to what we publish — and why. It outlines current and upcoming datasets across areas like network planning, operations, and market data.

Developed by our dedicated DSO data team, the roadmap is shaped by customer feedback and industry needs. It reflects our strategy, priorities, and future direction — ensuring our data is practical, relevant, and timely.

Where can you access our data?

Our Data Our Open Data Portal

Our Open Data Portal is where you can explore and download the data outlined in the roadmap. Operated by the DNO, the portal is one of the UK’s largest electricity network data platforms, offering thousands of datasets — including flexibility asset locations, capacity, usage, and infrastructure.

While the DNO manages the portal, the DSO data team contributes heavily to its content. Our datasets are clearly marked and regularly updated, supporting transparency, innovation, and better planning for stakeholders across the energy system.

The Connections Lab

Discover our new Connections Lab app, designed to provide a transparent and user-friendly approach to assessing curtailment risks for flexible connections. Developed in collaboration with customers, the app opens up our network data, offering insights into potential curtailment levels and visibility of the connection queue at each grid supply point.

This self-serve tool empowers users to explore scenarios, adjust assumptions, and strategically plan their connections, saving time and resources. Available now in Beta, we’re actively seeking feedback to refine the app throughout 2025. Visit the app today and see how it can support your projects.
Explore the app and, if it’s your first visit, view the user guide below to see how to create your account.
